Naga by ted Brattstrom from the GigaPan Luang Prabang, Laos by ted Brattstrom
Nagas have a variety of interpretations throughout SE and S Asia - Associated with the monsoon and water in S Asia, They are also revered because the Naga King, when the Buddha was meditating, used his body to become a couch and umbrella to keep him from getting wet.

The wall is not vertical any more - and needs reinforcement to keep it from falling over. Eventually, resoration work to re-align the stones to upright will be done.

Windy HF Antenna by ted Brattstrom from the GigaPan Field Day by ted Brattstrom
While some of this is alignment and stitching issues, we also had a pretty good breeze going on - that lead to some swaying of the antenna and mast! (a Triband antenna for 10-15-20M)

With so many people around, and so much motion, It's easy to get just a small piece of a person, or in other cases, multiple bits as they move.

The Big Sandy River - with water! by ted Brattstrom from the GigaPan Horned Lizard Ranch 2 by ted Brattstrom
Here's a bit of the Big Sandy River - complete with a trickle of water in it.
At times, it's completely dry - occasionally, it's a raging torrent. Since the road crosses the river 3 times, it is occasionally a challenge getting places!

Chondrules by ted Brattstrom from the GigaPan Barratta Meteorite Cross Polarized Thin Section by ted Brattstrom
Alll of these round objects, with colored fragments within are chondrules. Most of these contain olivine as their main component.
Chondrule formation occured during the very early stage of the solar system formation - so, when you are holding a chondrite, you are holding one of the oldest rocks around - about 4.5 billion years old.
cool!
