Karaca Sögüt is a safe bay in the Gulf of Gökova (Turkish: Gökova Körfezi) or Gulf of Kerme (Turkish: Kerme Körfezi). This gulf is a long (60 miles), narrow gulf of the Aegean Sea between Bodrum Peninsula and Datça Peninsula in south-west Turkey.

Amos was an ancient city, located near the modern town of Turunç, Turkey in the entrance of Marmaris Bay. Among the ruins are an amphitheatre and several ruined temples. Excavations in 1948 unearthed several inscriptions dating back to approximately 200 BCE.
