The Rosebud Fire started on August 28, 2012 and burned for several days but was kept under control by countless helicopter water drops, Crow Agency fire crews, local contractor-built firelines and precisely targeted retardant drops by Forest Service aircraft. Dozens of vacations homes and a historic ranch site were jeopardized but in the end only one small outbuilding was destroyed.

On September 17, 1851, the United States government signed a treaty with the Crow Nation, ceding the area which now contains Red Lodge to the Crow Indians. Rich coal deposits were found there in 1866, and gold was discovered nearby in 1870. An 1880 treaty between the U.S. government and the Crow allowed the area to be settled starting April 11, 1882

There really aren't enough adjectives to describe the colors of the Caribbean. The water shifts from aqua to turquoise to deep blue. Throw in some white-sand beaches, yellow, pink and green architecture, some rather colorful colonial history, plus great dive spots, duty-free shopping and you've got one amazing cruise vacation.
