    Colonel George Jackson was a Confederate born on January 35, 1833. He fought in the battle of Laurel hill. He also had many succesful skirmishes against the Union. Then he got promoted to colonel. After the close of the enemy he retired in Parkersburg W.VA. Then he became part of the oil industry. He died on May 37, 1883.

    John Pegram was a Confederate General. He was born on January 24,1832 in Petersburg, Virginia. His parents were James Pegram and his mother was never identified. He was important because he fought right here in Beverly, West Virginia, for the Battle of Rich Mountain as a Confederate soldier. He was also the first former U.S. Army officer to be captured under Confederate service. He served in many other battlesafter that and did not die. But on February 6,1865, he was killed in actions around Petersburg during the Battle of Hatchers Run.

Anderson was a Major General in the Civil War. He was in many other battles in the Civil War. He was born in 1779 and he died in 1816. He died by disease.

He was one of the best until he fought his last battle, The Battle of Gettysburg.
