The lighting was very harsh for this gigapan with exposure reading +2ev in bright areas and -2ev in the shadows. There were also two kayaks wondering around the lake that kept stirring up the water or getting half-way into the shot. Stitch notes: 1.064 Gigapixels. 286 input photos, 26 columns and 11 rows. 480 images (48 columns and 10 rows) at 10X zoom position (358mm equivalent). Required 1:49:39 to stitch on Quad-Core PC. Gigapan reports this image was 129.9 degrees wide, yet the actual image was closer to 180 degrees. The composition and lighting were quite a challenge for a gigapan. The camera was unable to handle...

From the walkway at The Venitian Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Because of the long exposure (Gigapan required 6 seconds per image), the sky darkens as the sun went down starting in the upper left corner. The images are staight from the camera (no processing). The entire capture sequence took about 40 minutes to co...

My first 360 degree pano. The morning light was a bit harsh and underexposed the shadows. Contrary to the advice of the GigaPan, I took this one at maximum wide-angle to minimize the number of exposures, so very little detail will be revealed by zooming.
