For this one I tried something different, .5 sec exposure to get the nice blurred water. It was tricky to get the image sharp with that long of an exposure at 400mm but I think it turned out ok.

I am very proud of this pano. I think it is the best one I've made so far because of the good exposure an clean stitching. There is a lot of detail in the city.

For some reason this looked a lot better in Autopano Giga before I rendered it. Big Beach is pretty cool. On my first attempt it got really windy so I had to go back on a later day to get this. I took this pano as a test to see how big I could go with my current gear. I guess I could have gone about twice as big if I would have gone 360 with it. The foreground isn't particularly interesting to look at up close but the horizon area is more so. This image is made up of 966 shots.

Before leaving I had no idea how hard it would be to make the hike with my Manfroto tripod, 7D, 70-200 lens and the Gigapan Epic Pro. I was freeeezing during the setup and 37 minutes of picture taking. Something I suspected wa...
