One advantage of the bridge going into the water is easy access for finding small animals to examine. These little crabs are everywhere in the shallow water.
Just down from the motel, this small bridge was washed off its' posts and turned sideways into the estuary.
This is the first motel coming off the ferry on Bolivar. We stayed there in mid-August, 2008. When Ike came ashore, it destroyed the sturcture, although it has been cleaned up and may be structurally sound.
The Seagulls may be fed at the rear of the boat on all ferry rides. Dolphins may be seen onoccasion from the front of the boat.
Seawolf Park is home to the USS CAVALLA (WWII Submarine) and the USS STEWART. Both vessels were pushed off their berths during the storm.
Either a loading dock or shipyards at the Port of Glaveston.
Someone found this guitar and stuck it neck down in a pile of dirt alongside highway 87.

The camera was at a really low angle, relative to the marker, but it still captured the X. This is the exact spot in the road where the President was shot.
