What the hell is this doing here? by impreprex from the GigaPan Sols 110 and 111 - as seen from the Curiosity Rover - *READ DESCRIPTION* by impreprex
A white-looking rock that seems out of place.

It actually works out, though, because the UHF antenna was already out of focus since the camera was focusing on the rocks in the background (relative to the antenna, of course).

Relax - that bluriness is: by impreprex from the GigaPan From the Curiosity Rover - Sol 109 (Part 2) by impreprex
just the camera being out of focus. You can tell in the raw images because all of those rocks closer to the foreground ARE in focus while being in the same image as the blurry part behind them. So basically, the camera couldn't keep both parts in focus. It happens.

The low-resolution part came out to look like an hour-glass.

Missing the high resolution image. This is better than a big white square, no?

The table! by impreprex from the GigaPan From the Curiosity Rover - The Glenelg Area (Sols 64 and 66) by impreprex
I love this rock. It reminds me so much of a table - it's so smooth.
Would be one expensive table if somehow we got that back here! I'd buy it if I had the money in this hypothetical situation. :)3 comments
