Before Walmart by Dror Yaron from the GigaPan Midway main street by John Wells
This store today is actually an auction house. But back in the day was the Robert Wakefield store and it was the original version of today's Walmart Supercenter. You could go in and purchase women's clothes, food, literally everything!! Sounds very similar to a Walmart of today doesn't it?

Clapp's Drug Store by Dror Yaron from the GigaPan Midway main street by John Wells
This was Clapp's Drug Store where you could pick up aspirin, comic books or funny books as Mayor Wakefield called them. The great thing about Clapp's was that it had a soda fountain in it and if you ever get the chance to look in the window, you can still see it!

The 1st Doug Sloan's by Dror Yaron from the GigaPan Midway main street by John Wells
The original Doug Sloan's Store. When Doug Sloan's expanded and moved the grocery store to the yellow building next door, this became the storehouse for the second shop.

The 2nd Doug Sloan's by Dror Yaron from the GigaPan Midway main street by John Wells
This building was known as Doug Sloan's Store and it was a full serve grocery store + meat market where meat could actually be cut to order.

trees by Dror Yaron from the GigaPan Angers Nursery & School Room by Dror Yaron
Most of these are Swietenia macrophylla (Honduras mahogany or "kajou") seedlings. One of HTRIP's slowest-growing species, mahogany trees represent a potentially valuable long-term investment: a mature mahogany trunk can sell for more than US$200 in Haitian timber markets.

at the gate by Dror Yaron from the GigaPan Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Courtyard by Dror Yaron
Families bring patients to the hospital and help care for them. Sometimes multiple family members accompany patients but only some can be accomodated in the waiting room . So others wait outside until the patient is admitted. Likewise, patients line up outside before the hospital opens. This photo could be either patients lined up or family members waiting. www.hashaiti.org
