Newest pit - Continental by Mike Parent from the GigaPan Twighlight on the "Richest Hill on Earth" Butte MT by Mike Parent
This pit is still operating at the foot of the Continental Divide. It isn't filled with water like the nearby famous Berkley Pit. The copper ore deposits can be seen in gray below the waste rock.
