Dour Edinburgh Castle on a rainy day, with a warm lighted window for contrast. You can almost read the titles on the books on the bookshelf in the window.

Closer view of this really unusual guerilla art put up in the middle of the night by people disguised as city workmen. This thing is really beautiful - but city law automatically classes it as *defacement*. It's a tad religious for a public artwork; but it's also objectionable for being *sacreligious*. The artist ha...

This beautiful art-glass mosiac depicting Our Lady of Guadalupe on a surfboard was put up illegally beneath a railway underpass in the surf-friendly town of Encinitas, CA in early May 2011. The artist is unknown. While violating all the rules of propriety, it's such a beautiful piece that it transcends the normal defin...

Taken on 11/29/09 from the Culp Valley Overlook in Anza-Borrego Desert Park, east of San Diego in California, looking west towards the mountains. A storm was trying to surge over the mountains, leaving snow on the upper reaches. At the bottom are several upper forks of Hellhole Canyon; if you zoom in you can see cott...

This was taken from above "Beacons" beach in Encinitas, California, on 3/15/08, just as a storm was coming in. It was really windy at the top of the bluff, and I got sandblasted while taking the pano. I used Autopano Pro to assemble and photoshop to fix up some wave mismatches.
