    Military early warning radar station. This station was important most recently in detecting Russian long range 'Bear' aircraft.

    Description:

    A large section of the cliff gave way and crashed into the sea bellow. There are cracks in the ground above where it is going to give way again in the future.

    This domed rocky island is in fact the most northerly point of the UK and is almost impossible to land on due to almost constant crashing waves

    Almost 25,000 breeding pairs nest on the cliffs at Hermaness NNR

    Yes the King Penguins are crazy, climbing a mile or so up the glacier for some peace and quiet when moulting.

    Description:

    Built originally for a TV film crew, and most recently used by a film crew for the BBC frozen planet series. They filmed the incredible Elephant seal battle here.
