Even though stained glass windows provide sufficient lighting to get through there is a sort of lift aprox (15-20 ft?) above the floor with lights connecting to eachother in geometric patterns.

Not really sure if this was a structural component that was incorperated when the Sultanahmet Camii was first built. Looks like it follows along the bottom of the central dome and along most of the walls.

These stained glass incorporations into the sultahmet Camii showed the economic prosperity architects were able to work with in this structure. These would have been hard to come across at the time and would have had to be brought in from surrounding areas.
