    Even though stained glass windows provide sufficient lighting to get through there is a sort of lift aprox (15-20 ft?) above the floor with lights connecting to eachother in geometric patterns.

    Not really sure if this was a structural component that was incorperated when the Sultanahmet Camii was first built. Looks like it follows along the bottom of the central dome and along most of the walls.

    These stained glass incorporations into the sultahmet Camii showed the economic prosperity architects were able to work with in this structure. These would have been hard to come across at the time and would have had to be brought in from surrounding areas.

    The Sultanahmet Camii incorporated many of there extensive geometric patterns into the walls. These were very well developed geometric designs for the time it was built

  5. 'elephant Pillar"

    These pillars were made to hold up and support the Sultanahmet Cammi's well known architectural feature, which is the central dome.

    This is an example of the beautiful calligraphy writeing inscripted all throughout the Sultanahmet Camii. Has blue background and gold inscriptions.

    Located just to the right of the mihrab.
    Along forground and hanging up from wall this Minbar is made of cloth with Islamic inscriptions.

    Located along the lower half of the central dome and above the central dome. These inscriptions are on all sides of the dome reading different religious inscriptions.

    23,5 meters in diameter and 43 meters high at its central point
    Impressive Support features, the architect played rather safe than sorry and installed 4 immense pillars to support it all.
