There is a restaurant on the top of the space needle, you can see the outlines of the people. I took this with a 80 -200 zoom lens. the distance was about 3 to 4 miles as the crow flies away from where I shot this.

There are feeders around the faclity with food and water so the birds can eat in the treetops. All of these trees are real, they were here and the building and flooring was built around them with the birds in mind.

These birds are caged because they are too agressive toward either people and or birds. They can still be in the social area, but they are likely to hurt someone if they are left out unsupervised.

Macaw free flight building by Victoria Gideon from the GigaPan Grounds at Zazu's House by Victoria Gideon
This building is where the Macaws have free flight, real trees in the ground inside, The ultra agressive birds (ones that would attack you or other birds and do harm) are kept in cages, but are still in here so that they may have to social interaction. Many birds who did not do well in thier homes have flourished here and are quite happy. The birds that come here are ones that have no other option. It is sad to see how many birds are rejected. Many who get these magnificent creatures as pets do not understand the level of dedication, the noise and mess that they create or the time commitment. Some of these birds are here because their owner died and no one would take them. The birds are here to stay. No bird is for sale or rehoming. They never have to worry about leaving again. There are volunteers that come and cook for them, interact with them, and love them. This is truely a remarkable place. Donations of bird toys, money, time and work are always needed. Im not sure exactly how many birds are in here, but more than I have ever seen in one place before.

This buidling houses all th special needs birds. It has a stream that is pumped through it so the birds may take a bath the way they would in nature. Birds are flock creatures and here they have lots of friends. There is an African Grey who like to live under the bridge - he has been nick named "The Troll" Its really funny to see him walking over to you, but watch out! He will get ch'a!

There are also many kinds of McCaws. The most common are the blue and gold. In the special care unit at Zazu's House I am not positive, but I think there were roughly ten or so in this part alone.

these little green birds are amazons. There are many types of amazons. in this outside area when I was here today there were about 6 outside and up on the rafters and many more inside the building walking around on open cages and purches. They seem to enjoy the social aspect of mingeling with all the birds
