Those Trees by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" from the GigaPan Bath from Brown's Folly by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661"

Another familiar feature of the Bath skyline. To me, and to many other people I suspect, it is when you see these trees from the motorway (on the other side of the hill) that you think "ah, home again". This snapshot shows the border between the region of 200mm and 55mm shots.

Trig Point on Solsbury Hill by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" from the GigaPan Bath from Brown's Folly by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661"

Solsbury Hill (as in the song by Peter Gabriel) is an easily recognised feature of the skyline in Bath, but it is unusual to see the top of the hill without sky behind it.

The Swing by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" from the GigaPan Adrenaline Quarry by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661"

Difficult to put into words quite how nauseating this contraption was. The basic idea is a swing where on the outward part of the swing you go out over the edge of the quarry which sounds scary enough. But the really scary part is when they pull you up to the back of the swing - you go up level with the cross bar, so for a few moments you are held 20m off the ground looking straight down. A number of people who had done the zip wire screaming their heads off were completely slient on this ride and came off with ashen faces.

Some of the buildings where Marie Antoinette notoriously "played" at being a shepherdess.

Soccer Guy by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" from the GigaPan Sacre Cour by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661"

This guy had an impressive routine of keeping the ball off the ground (without using his hands). He could do all sorts of things like take his shirt off while keeping the ball in the air. At one point he climbed to the top of the lamp post whilst keeping the ball going.

I saw several of these whilst in Paris. This one was noteworthy because it seems to contain a mature tree. Where do the roots go?! Maybe it is just a cardboard cut-out.

Of the several companies running hop-on hop-off tours of Paris, I found this company offered the best deal. I really like these services because I find they are an excellent way of orienting myself when I arrive in a new city. Note to self: remember the effects of wind-chill!

This is not Le Louvre by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" from the GigaPan Andrea in Paris - The Louvre - 360-Degree Panorama by David Engle

When people mentioned the Louvre to me this is what I think of - the pyramid and the building behind it. What I didn't realise is that the Louvre comprises the entire 360° of buildings you can see in this image - it is *enormous*.

This building is a regular office underneath the strange steel cladding. I like it. We should see more of this sort of thing.

One of very many Japanese restaurants on this street. There is even a patisserie advertising "Japanese Specialities". Japanse pastries? I will have to investigate!

Ouch by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" from the GigaPan Self-Portrait by Proxy III a.k.a. Crime Scene IV by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661"

This print was part of an exhibition at the Holburne Museum in Bath (and attended by none other than Professor Illah Nourbakhsh no less) of art made by vulnerable adults. It cost £80 to print and some IDIOT got sellotape (Scotch tape) on it leaving this nice white line across the image.

Wow, this baby has an auto reverse tape deck. I really must get around to throwing this junk out. Although, if LPs are making a come-back maybe audio cassettes will too. Hey, this could be worth something - I had better hang on to it for another 30 years.

Outdoor Gear by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" from the GigaPan Self-Portrait by Proxy III a.k.a. Crime Scene IV by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661"

This is where I keep my gear for outdoor gigapanning. A scrap of something warm and dry to sit on (the blue camping mat) and a Gigapan baseball cap are essential. Also featured here is, apparently, a pair of underpants - these are also often considered essential.

Daylight! by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" from the GigaPan Self-Portrait by Proxy III a.k.a. Crime Scene IV by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661"

This gigapan was shot at night so that I didn't have to worry about the light changing during the time I was shooting. Unfortunately on the second of the three nights' shooting, I didn't notice that it was getting light at the front of the house. This explains the blueish stripe on the carpet. Grr.
