Evasive plant species by Robert Nagao from the GigaPan Top of Waipoo Falls by Robert Nagao
This yellow ginger grows in many of the Kokee and Waimea Canyon areas. It over takes land where our native plants used to grow. Nice sweet smelling flower but not a good plant for our native forests.

Goats by Robert Nagao from the GigaPan Kalalau Valley by Robert Nagao
When I first started taking this GigaPan, we seen goats in this area. I was hoping that the GigaPan would reach this area in time to photograph them, but I think I might have missed them. Try your luck , you might be able to find them. I could not find them in this GigaPan. They are black like the rocks or brown like the dirt. They blend in very well.

Its a buoy! by Robert Nagao from the GigaPan Kipukai by Robert Nagao
This is a breakaway FAD buoy that drifted in front of Kipukai. For you non fishermen, these buoys are placed around the Hawaiian island with what I was told, a 2mile long anchor rope with a net attached to it that grows seaweeds and attracts small fish, witch in turn attracts bigger fish for us fishermen, and women to catch.

Six Days Seven Nights & Jurassic Park II by Robert Nagao from the GigaPan Kipukai by Robert Nagao
This is the beach that Harrison Ford crashed his plane in Six Days & Seven Nights. Also the same beach that was used in the opening scene of Jurassic park II where the family was having a picnic on the beach and the little girl was feeding the cute little dinosaurs that turned into scary dinosaurs, and she probably got eaten by them.

These white dots are goats that are I think being raised by the taro farmer that lives in this valley. Their are black and brown goats but very hard to find in this GigaPan because the blend in with the rocks very well.
