Dish by John Toeppen from the GigaPan Berber village close to Telouet (III) by Vicenç Palà
This looks much as it might have hundreds of years ago - except for all of the white dishes pointed skyward. I find this fact to be a very interesting reflection on what people consider to be important - being connected to the larger world.
How many dishes can you find?
While the world certainly has its problems and issues the desire for us to be connected to each other might ultimately be the persistant force that can cure those very problems. GigaPan, the intenet, and dishes may be a part of that global village solution. At least, that is what I am hoping.

Optional Back-Up Camera by Dwight Okahara from the GigaPan 3 cruise ships at the pier in Nassau, Bahamas by Thilo H
This was a pricey upgrade when this ship was being built. I wonder if they also went for side passenger air bags?

Tony Gragg's Scupture 'treesome' by Denis Roberts from the GigaPan The Study Gallery of Modern Art by The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661"
The close up shows few of the many layers of sandstone and resin which form the 9 ton sculpture.
