    Ella, Thanks for the info... I was not aware that the ice moved so fast. I presume that you are referring to this GigaPan: www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id= 7626 as that of being the Geographic North Pole. I know of no one else that have taken photos of this magnitude. Thanks. Also, to me, Kilgore661's snapshot: www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id= 14537&snapshot_id=40254 looks like a frozen sea god ... Nautilus. Hope we see some more GigaPans from you today before the sun sets :)

    On August 2, 2007, Russia placed a titanium flag on the sea floor at the geographic North Pole.Two and a half miles above the flag the sea ice moves so quickly that a marker would be off point before you were done shooting your panorama. gigapan.org actually has a panorama of the sea ice at Geographic North Pole on July 25, 2008.

    Ella, Is there a marker for the Geographic North Pole? How much longer will you be stationed at Amudsen? Where to next?
