I am Manuel Cuason, a freelance photographer specializing in candid images of families, children and events. I got into photography because of my family. What inspired me from capturing my family are the priceless moments that I go through with them each day. I want to not just remember them but to show the world how proud I am for having such a wonderful loving family. They are my inspiration aside from God Almighty. I am truly blessed to be married to a super wife/mom. I have 2 daughters, one just turned 13 and the other is 2 years old, and an 11 month old son. My hands get full at night when my wife works the graveyard shift at a bank. I have been a photographer enthusiast for over two years now and a Photoshop user since 1999. I graduated as a Web Designer in Silicon Valley College in 1999, but I found my skills to be useful in Photography and Photoshop combined. I strive for the natural look with the least amount of retouch as possible so I am less dependent with Photoshop. I use Photoshop for creative uses...to give a different life to the photos. I keep myself up-to-date in Photography & Photoshop by attending seminars here in the Bay Area. My favorite seminar was “Location Lighting Techniques” with Joe McNally. I love how he demonstrated his ability to capture his subject with very limited time setting-up his gear and light under pressure and still capture an awesome result. I used to get so frustrated with my shots because I cannot seem to capture what I really have in mind. Until I attended his seminar and found out he was having the same issue as I have. I remember him saying, "Your path to extreme beauty in photography is the result of your extreme mistakes.” His words gave me a different perspective in photography. For some reason, I understood that I am heading the right path. Today, I embrace my mistakes, learned from it and make some more mistakes. :) I am also a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. My goal is to be a professional in this field. Photography not only is my passion; it is now my lifestyle!
