I first tried my Sony R1 on the Epic 100. Trying to figure out how to minimize the time required to take pix, as the R1 is slow to write RAW files and doesn't have a large buffer...
Next I tried to mount either my R1 w/ the 1.7X TC [HUGE] or the Nikon D300 w/ the 70-200mm f/2.8 lens [HEAVY]...but no luck.
So, I designed and built a modification that extends the camera mounting plate and has an outboard [on the R side] bearing to support more weight w/o binding.
I'm now experimenting with several combinations of body/lens to see what is best.
