The 800 foot deep lake that was here when the Sierra Glaciers melted 20,000 years ago. There was a 30 foot deep lake and marsh here about 2,000 years ago.
The flowers were just taking off with each daisy now having more than three blossoms now with a dozen or more. An inch of rain really kick things off. The insects don't show up until the flowers have been out a few days.

Each of these peonies are 30 inches across with dew droplets and ants clearly visable. They are combined into a custom wallcovering with a half drop at 48 inches wide.
