We were geocaching in George Bush Park which has recently fallen prey to the Texas wild fires. You can see a bit of the devastation here. It looks like fall with al the leaves on the ground, but the trees should still be green this time of year.

This is a dried up gully in George Bush Park after the wild fires hit. The whole place had a surreal quality to it. The barbed wire strung across the gully and the random metal pipe poking out of the ground made it even more so.

Morning sunlight illuminates the gorgeous colours of autumn along the Peace River in northern Alberta. The red bushes are chokecherry and wild rose bushes, while the gold-yellow colour is aspen and poplar. The town of Peace River in in the centre.
