This trestle on the CN main line west of Wainright, Alberta spans 2775 feet and is 195 feet above the river. I was hoping to include a CN train crossing but I was about 45 minutes too early. Check out the sand bars in the Niobrara River. This river is located at the northern edge of the Sand Hills region of Nebraska and you can see the evidence in its sediment load. I don't believe that the railroad trestle is in use other than as a footpath these days.

One of the longest wooden railway trestles in the world, it spans the Paddle River and Highway 43 about 125 km northwest of Edmonton. The bridge is more than 3000 feet long and carries CN Rail trains to northern Alberta. Built in 1959.
