With the help of Julia Weber and Eric Baral I shot 211 images to build this macro composite self-portrait image. No stitching software could figure out the geometry, so I made a composite one image at a time. My goal was to clear a gigapixel (didn't happen), and hopefully do something unique. Zoom at your own risk!

- Autumn but a little dull.... Shows part of the area in Dunloren Park, Tunbridge Wells. It's a 360 degree panorama but not shot on a very long lens. Still reasonably interesting - however - yawn - the most exciting thing that happened was the tripod in the middle of the park (waiting to be moved on as I had no perm...

Rather scary, but an experiment in a portrait gigapan. Indoors with natural light. Auto focus on. Sometimes the autofocus had trouble 'locking' on the white sofa and white wall.

A partial panorama of the beautiful Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. I was shooting East to include much of the Pantiles area including - Mottrams Kitchen Shop (great to visit!), the Duke of York Pub which I believe also owns the Ragged Trousers Pub opposite (one of my favourites) and of course, the pretty Tourist Informa...

This is the typical mess on my desk. I didn't make any attempt to pretty it up. Stitching notes: GigaPan Stitcher version 0.4.3865 (Macintosh) Panorama size: 1091 megapixels (46054 x 23700 pixels) Input images: 150 (15 columns by 10 rows) Field of view: 108.0 degrees wide by 55.6 degrees high (top=14.5, bottom=...

Just playing around with a self portrait of myself in my bedroom. For some reason it stitched my face incorrectly so I look a bit deformed (typical!!) and also stitched incorrectly a couple of things such as window frames but other than that I am quite pleased with it. The light changed drastically as I was shooting it...

My dia de los muertos box; my first attempt at something quasi-narrative with mixed media in a gigapan. Memorializing anything sentimental in my closet resulted in the overwhelming but neccesarry amount of narcissim that went into this. Some notes: There are also a few links to my videos and music embedded in the sn...

An exercise in Gigapan self-portraiture. This is my back, showing scars from skin-grafted burn wounds incurred after an accident where I fell onto a steam radiator. I had to synchronize my breathing with the Gigapan while it was taking this shot. Yes, I needed to shave and comb my hair, thanks for pointing that out. :-...
