At the north end of the park close to I-40 is a vista point on a mesa overlooking a dry wash and very colorful, although desolate terrain. Handheld two-rows with Canon T2i and 28-135mm set to 28mm.

A very large petrified log, complete with "root ball." This is the view at the big end that is about 12 feet across. The rest of the tree trunk is mostly intact and about 30 feet long.
