The Basilica (see other pans by me) shows up in nice detail even from this distance of 2km. The blurryness here is caused by the heat of the warm summer day over the fiels and the village. Done with the 300mm lens. I made it nice and wide, just to see what effect that gave.

I was going for an exiting shot, but unfortunately I could not find any angle in which this harbor really did deliver that for me. Technically, I got the sharpness wrong. Must take more time to set that right and double check. Depth of field remains a problem when zooming this 18-105 lens to it's max.

It took me 1 hour to do the shot and 26 hours to render and another 7 hours to get it done in Photoshop and it is still not right. Original file was 760 pictures and 7 GB file. Next shot is due soon.

My second take with the new Gigapan Epic 100 toy. Turned out quite nice if I do say so. I do go into the deep end of the pool. 437 images and 2Gigapixel. Not what a beginner usually gets away with.
