  2. North Stoke is a charming out-of-the-way Cotswold hamlet between Bath and Bristol. The church is a much-extended and patched-up building with no true vertical walls. Well worth a visit. You can see the church in the context of the landscape (just about) here gigapan.com/gigapans/114436
