  1. This is the view from the Getty Museum in the Santa Monica Mountains, overlooking the west side of Los Angeles. It was a mostly clear, windy day, but the clouds to the east (rain?) limited visibility a bit. The furthest point along the coastline is Redondo Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes -- almost to Long Beach.
