I took this in a rush because rain was sweeping in from the West (by the West Lomond). I set the camera for 'exposure lock' and it was only when I viewed the results that I realised the lock had not worked. Ce la vie. 41 portrait shots with a Fuji S9500 stitched with Autopano Pro.

We crossed the Wooly Gut from West Falkland, and we landed on West Point Island on a bright Sunday morning. Land Rovers took us across the island to these grassy cliffs that overlook the Atlantic Ocean. Here we found a colony of Rockhopper Penguins and Black-browed Albatross. I can understand the how the island got its...

We will be looking for the Black-browed Albatrosses and the Rock-hopper Penguins ...

The ground looks dry, and it is, but the island supports an amazing varie...

New Island in the Falkland Islands was our last stop before returning to Ushuaia. It is a hilly, dry place with interesting rock formations and wonderful wildlife. The climb up the hill behind us revealed the Magellanic Penguin burrows that you can see in another panorama on this gigapan site. There was a multitude of ...

The capital of the Falkland Islands is a colorful seaport community. You will find some reminders of old England in this panorama. The 18 images in this panorama were recorded with my Nikon D80 stitched with AutoPano Pro.

Stanley is a brightly-colored seaport nestled in a sheltered harbor on the east side of East Falkland, the largest of the Falkland Islands. The Falkland Islands are also known as Islas Malvinas.
