Used to remove overburden to expose the coal seams in the Diplomat Mine. Retired in 1984. The large dipper bucket on the right is all that remains of the "Mr. Diplomat" shovel, the largest ever used in Canada. It was 30 cubic yards. The rest of the shovel which weighed over 1250 tons was cut up for scrap in 1984.
