In the middle is the so called "Senne" which is currently used as a military training center. The right part shows the hills of the Teutoburger Wald.

The Hermannsdenkmal / Hermann monument is located in the southern part of the Teutoburg Forest, southwest of Detmold. It commemorates the Varusbattle.
