Butte Creek cut through these volcanic layers millions of years ago. Taken with a Canon 60D, EF-S 55-250mm lens (the lightweight kit lens, not the good one) set to 250mm, and a GigaPan Epic 100. The 600 individual frames took about an hour to capture. Stitched with PTGui.

I took this panorama while some friends and I jumped off of the cliffs of the canyon into the Big Chco Creek. There are several swimming holes in Upper Bidwell Park and when temperatures soar over 100 degrees F its one of many places people take refuge from the heat. Mike Andree
