  1. Autum colours at the Chickakoo Lake Recreation area in the Glory Hills near Edmonton. Besides the hiking and horse trails, it has excellent cross-country skiing in the winter along a network of trails that wind through the area. There is an abundance of highbush cranberries in the forest as well.

  2. Located in the Glory Hills northwest of Edmonton in Parkland County. It's a popular recreation area with diverse wildlife. Saw a Pileated woodpecker flying past where I was shooting this, but he didn't take time to land on one of the trees.
