The panorama shows some of the details on the headstones. I particularly noticed some of the infant graves dating from around 1916. I think these children may have died from the influenza epidemic.

These are photos of the departed 100 - 50 years ago from the Bonaria cemetry in Cagliari, Sardinia. The medallions are attached to the marble sealing of coffins which are stacked 4 high in walls along streets.

The Similkimeen River winds its way through southern BC near the village of Hedley, once a thriving gold mine. The road climbs the steep hillside to the Nickel Plate Mine which is still in production. Grades are as steep as 15% but the view from above is worth the climb.

This is the cemetery used in the opening scene of Night of the Living Dead. There is currently an effort to raise funds to fix the Chapel on the far left of the image. I thought this would be a pretty cool way for those that can't make it here to feel like they are! Taken 03/03/12.
