What an extra-ordinary day to have such sunlight and beautiful weather. Earlier (much earlier, I might say) we were in the Houston Galleria to buy an iPad at the Apple Store and had ours in our hands and paid for at 9:05AM. These gardens are located next to a water reservoir that serves the Washington, DC metropolitan area in Maryland. Someone had the foresight to plant hundreds of these shrubs back in the 1940's. Today they are a two week spectacle for all to enjoy. I used an old Nikon Coolpix 5700 with telephoto lens attachment. It is...

The curved roof becomes straight when observed in Google Earth and the Azeleas look magnificant as well. Note: Other than my four Azalea GigaPans, there is one very beautiful and extraordinary Azalea GigaPan and can be seen here: www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=22862.http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?...

The exposure may be off some, but the Azaleas look terrific. To be fully appreciated, this needs to be seen in Google Earth via the link. This is one of several in my "Azalea Trail Series." Note: Other than my four Azalea GigaPans, there is one very beautiful and extraordinary Azalea GigaPan and can be...
