  1. A beautiful exposure of bull quartz veins in greenstone in a roadcut on the Trans-Canada Highway, west of Marathon, Ontario.

  2. State Route 3 through the northern Adirondacks is know to geologists as "The Anorthosite Highway" because of its spectacular cuts throught the Marcy Massif anorthosite unit. This is the third of a series of three GigaPans I shot at this roadcut to illustate the anorthosite at a range of scales.

  3. Just southeast of Pinnacles National Monument and just west of San Benito, CA the San Andreas fault crosses the Airline Highway. See if you can find (the) fault in this GigaPan.

  4. Two small normal faults are visible in these erosional remnants of the Cretaceous Smoky Hill Chalk in southeastern Gove County, Kansas.
