  1. A nearly empty beach in November, two weeks after Hurricane Sandy. Compare with my "Ocean City Beach" gigapan from July 27, 2012. The dunes between 6th and 11th were completely washed away. Much of the sand was in the streets of Ocean City, two to four feet thick.

  2. Two weeks after Hurricane Sandy, some shops are still open. This is after a massive cleanup operation to remove 2-4 feet of sand from the streets inland from the boardwalk.
