A phosphatic (up to 16 wt. %) columnar stromatolite from the ca. 740 Ma Salitre Formation of the Una Group in central Brazil. These stromatolites are similar to those found in post-glacial cap carbonate lithofacies. This sample was provided by Dr. Jay Kaufman of the University of Maryland.
