About 10 miles south of San Diego and only 5 miles north of the US/Mexico border, this mountainscape on the south shore of the lower Otay reservoir is one of the few seemingly pristine landscapes remaining near San Diego. Unfortunately, only 2/10ths of a mile behind the camera are massive new housing developments.
