Build in 1872, this covered bridge is known as the Artist's Bridge because it is so frequently painted and photographed. Sunday River ski area was visible by eye to the right of the bridge, but does not show up in the picture. More info on the bridge available here: www.maine.gov/mdot-stage/covered-bridge

The new Wilson Bridge runs from Alexandria, VA to MD. Actually two parallel bridges across the Potomac River. The second bridge on north side is still under construction. The road sign is for 295 North to Washington, DC.
