While setting up to shoot the whole river valley, I first did a test shot of the yoga class on the right. The full sized Gigapan (890 megapixels) is currently uploading on my dialup and should be available by Tuesday Aug 11. So far it's been chugging for more than 38 hours.

A short hike from the Bow summit on the Icefields Parkway, Peyto Lake was named after pioneer explorer Bill Peyto. This is an early morning shot, around 9:00 AM when the air was calm, clear and the lighting was optimum. There was a slight breeze and the temps at the time were near freezing...not unusual at this altit...

I shot this early in the morning before the Stampede fans arrived so as to show the empty stands and tp have the sun illuminating it from this side. I also did another Gigapan about 4 hours later showing the grandstand full of spectators. You can tell it's Calgary by the Husky Tower and the Saddledome. There is also...

Bow Lake and Crowfoot Mountain in the Canadian Rockies. While I was setting up the Gigapan there were a couple of photographers on the left with their big Canon lenses taking photos of birds nearby. Little did they know they were being immortalized in one of my first Gigapans! Update: This will be the first of my ...

Dotted thoughout the dry interior Cariboo plateau, many shallow lakes and sloughs look like this. The rocks and boulders around here are volcanic and many are coated with bright orange-red lichens. Here's the link to the same pic in Panoramio: www.panoramio.com/photo/25121209

Highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, 12,972' (3954m) in this evening shot. Composed of 40 shots at full zoom through a Panasonic FZ50 (420mm efl) Mount Robson is one of the most difficult climbs in North America with only 10% of the attempts being successful. www.bivouac.com/MtnPg.asp?MtnId=2
