Not exactly a 'keeper' with its horrible white sky, more of an aide memoire to go back and take this scene again when the weather is better. The sky wasn't pure #FFFFFF in reality, but not far off. The scene shows the City of Bath College's weirdly-shaped lecture theatre and a mix of architectural styles that caught...

Autopano has a blending algorithm called 'smartblend' that is good at removing ghosts from gigapans (it is very slow though and only works on small gigapans). I wanted to test the idea that rather than removing the odd ghost, I could use smartblend to remove all the people from a busy street scene. This is the result. ...

Quick experiment. The cafe to the right of centre is one of my favourites. You can often find me sat here tucking into one of their "famous" breakfasts. The cajun-spiced steak in a tortilla wrap is also excellent. In the evenings my preference is for Yum Yum Thai (tinyurl.com/ydwdqp6
).

This is one of a series of quickly-taken images taken by hand. My objective was not to create a gigapan per se, but to explore the architecture of the new Southgate Centre (although in this image is centred on the new bus station office).

A quick shot of the JAC in Bath. Not a gigapan per se, just experimenting with wider-angle lens than I normally use. NB This street was full of traffic at the time - Autopano's Smartblend has really done a good job in eliminating most of it.

An exhibition of local artists' work at the Walcot Mortuary Chapel. The work is by (left to right) Cat Sulzmann, Fiona Harron, Erin O'Connor and David Horton. I am hoping the artists will add descriptions of their work in due course. I shot this using +/-2 bracketing and what you see is a tone-mapped gigapan. The...
