The exposure was better, but I was using a much longer zoom this time around. the first one was a 300mm zoom, this one was 800mm. I still need to do a better job at framing. hopefully a tri-pod will help.

Labor Day weekend on Lake Shasta... the water level is much lower than normal this year. (Shasta is a major water source for Northern CA, and the water level is dropping about 5" per day! The view point for Castle Crag is lovely. Just far enough from the car park that you can no longer see or smell the cars, with the crags in front, shasta to the right, other ranges to the left, forest behind...crisp fall air, it was divine.
