  6. I shot this early in the morning before the Stampede fans arrived so as to show the empty stands and tp have the sun illuminating it from this side. I also did another Gigapan about 4 hours later showing the grandstand full of spectators. You can tell it's Calgary by the Husky Tower and the Saddledome. There is also...

  10. The Grandstand is an outcrop of rock in the middle of Racetrack Playa, where the rocks move when nobody is watching. It was a potential emergency landing site for the North American X-15 rocket plane.
