This was taken from the top of Fort Hill in the Vicksburg National Military Park. The scene was rather hazy, and the winds were unusually brisk. I hope to retake this on a calmer, clearer day. The flood waters of 2011 are still about 10 feet above flood stage.

The flood wall has been completed and the waters still rise. The Vicksburg City Front has become a major tourist attraction as people come from miles around to view this "once in a lifetime" event.
