A healthy crop of canola lies in the swath awaiting some late summer sun to mature and dry it so that it can be combined. The tiny black seeds in the pods are crushed to make canola oil for the food industry. This crop is along Meadowview Drive just west of St. Albert, Alberta near Big Lake.

This is where my father worked - well part of it. There are other workshops in the back. There were few things that he felt weren't worth saving - and few things that he couldn't find some way to fix, salvage or recycle.
