The classic HK Island skyline at dusk, with a pesky boat that appears again and again and again and again in the shot...and gets cut in half on the last time on the right that it appears. Completely unintentional... The sun was setting quite quickly, but the balance seems quite uniform. For a gigapan of the same sk...

A gigapan of what many believe to be the most dramatic stretch of seafront in Asia, the financial district of Hong Kong, that is a postcard favorite. 5" exposure, 14" pic time on the EPIC. Another gigapan of HK Island from a similar vantage point at dusk www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=17500

Night Gigapan of Hong Kong Island at 10:30pm; 5" exposure, Gigapan set to 14" per pic time. Surprisingly little boat activity in the shot, achieved by occasional pausing of the pano. A wider gigapan from the same location can be seen here www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=17458

This GigaPan is taken from a larger panorama, which can be seen via this link: www.gig

I drive by this place about twice a month. As far as buffet chinese food it's hit-or-miss, but the building is among the more striking (at least at night) when coming out of Houston along I-45.

Halong Bay's spectacular limestone islands--nearly 2000 of them--stretch to every horizon from the top of Dao Titop, an island that has a staircase leading up the steep slopes to an overlook at the top. This is an unparalleled oceanscape for exploring by chartered junk and kayak. Hidden floating fishing villages in qui...

Taken in 1985 with a #10 cirkut camera (film size is 10 inches by 56 inches) This shot was taken late in the day. Just as the camera was ready an enormous steam whistle sounded time for 10,000 employees to go home. I had to hurry as the main gate was directly behind the camera. A fun shot with a very slow shutter...
