Every year in December Manhattan Beach celebrates Christmas with a fireworks show. Manhattan Beach blvd is closed off and people bring their chairs, food, etc. to watch the event. I've been shooting huge panoramas from this location (look for the blue spraypaint that shows the center of my tripod) for 8 years, different seasons and times of day. This gigapan is my first non-DSLR image from there. Unfortunately, my Canon G9 doesn't zoom enough to get the detail I wish was in this picture.
