Shot from the south side of Lake Tahoe's Emerald Bay in Emerald Bay State Park just off of highway 89. Something was auto-adjusting on the camera, so the picture has this weird halo effect. The camera was brand new to me at this time, so I didn't know how to disable all of the features.

A view of Lake Tahoe from Rose Knob Peak (9710 ft) above Incline Village. These photos were taken at 3:30 PM, when the sun was still rather high in the sky, on a very clear day. I'd love to reshoot this with more interesting lighting. There is one stiching artifact that is very noticeable along the west shore.

While most Nevada side beaches have coarse sand that is tough on the feet, Tahoe's prevailing breezes deposit a fine grained white sand here that is the harbor's namesake. My friends, diving in the chilly snowy waters in October.
