  1. One of the classic morning shots in Death Valley National Park - surprisingly, I had the viewpoint all to myself when I arrived. These are mostly Tertiary sediments that have been significantly tilted in their relatively short geological lifetime - an indication of how active the tectonics of this region are.

  3. This is my first gigapan...just trying it out to see that it works...the lens was at 18mm... This view is looking South over Curl Curl Beach towards Manly Beach and South Head. The taller buildings in Sydney's CBD can be seen poking over the horizon line.
